Interested Candidates Can Apply Until June 16 for the Seven Available Positions; Selection Is Open to All Undergraduate Courses, Emphasizing That This Is Not an Internship, It Is a Job Vacancy Even Without Experience

After the entry of an international group in the shareholder structure — Glencore, which acquired 78% of the company — ALE takes another step towards expanding its operations in the country’s fuel market. To achieve this goal, human capital is one of the main assets of the fourth largest fuel distributor. In this sense, ALE has launched the 2019 Trainee Program.

  • Students who graduated between July 2017 and July 2019 can apply for ALE Fuels’ 2019 Trainee Program. This edition of the program offers seven positions for any undergraduate courses at the bachelor level. The application period is open until June 16, and admissions are expected to take place in August of this year.
  • Among the prerequisites for the positions are advanced English and the ability to assume any strategic position within the company. The candidate must also be available for travel and mobility. Initially, those selected will work at ALE units in Natal or São Paulo, and may be relocated to another location in Brazil during their career.

Applications Must Be Made Through the Program Website by Clicking Here. Interested candidates for the positions must participate in a selection process, consisting of a series of eliminatory stages. The first stage will be registration, where candidates will take logical reasoning and English tests. In this phase, there will also be the completion of a cultural fit assessment to identify alignment with company policy.

Subsequently, approved candidates will participate in the selfie stage, where they will record a presentation video and, if classified, will advance to the game stage, where their individual and collective skills will be evaluated in a virtual game. The final stage will take place in person and will involve participation from the company’s directors, where trainees will participate in panels in the locations of Natal or São Paulo.

According to the Executive Manager of Human and Organizational Development at ALE, Vladimir Barros, the goal of the company’s Trainee Program is to identify potential leaders who can develop in accordance with the company’s values and become highly qualified professionals. “We seek new talents who can occupy prominent positions within the company, who have an entrepreneurial profile, strategic business vision, commitment, innovation capacity, teamwork ability, leadership potential, and customer focus,” he explains.

Regarding the opportunities for advancement within the company, Barros states that about 90% of its trainees build careers within the company. “Our goal is to develop them during the programs so that they can demonstrate technical and behavioral competence to take on new challenges. In addition, we have various initiatives aimed at the development and integration of professionals, such as the job rotation process, developed within the company’s trainee program, which offers new employees a comprehensive view of all sectors and procedures,” he adds.

Expansion Plans

ALE’s expansion plans are robust for this year. The company aims to achieve a revenue of R$ 15 billion in 2019, an amount about 20% higher than that recorded in 2018. To reach this goal, ALE will make investments of approximately R$ 167 million, which will be allocated for expansion, modernization, and value creation for the ALE Network.

Investing in technology is an important strategy for ALE to expand its business this year. One of the initiatives to secure new positions and strengthen relationships with the ALE Network is the “ALE Fuels” app. The app is intended for ALE stations, white label resellers, and corporate clients. On the platform, customers can place orders for the company’s products, track the progress of deliveries, check daily fuel prices, access the ALE Club, receive service via chat, and access order history, among other options.

In the Marketing area, investments in sponsorships are also being resumed. The company is one of the official sponsors of the Full Time Sports Stock Car team, which has Rubens Barrichello as a driver. Additionally, the company sponsors the Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, one of the largest teams in the global sports scene.

“Therefore, candidates for the 2019 Trainee Program must be aligned with these growth goals of the company. We seek employees committed to these strategies and who will undoubtedly soar to great heights,” concludes Vladimir Barros.

About ALE

Founded in 1996, ALE is the fourth largest fuel distributor in the country, with a network of about 1,500 stations and 5,000 active clients in 21 states and the Federal District. The company, which generates about 12,000 direct and indirect jobs, became part of the international group Glencore in 2018. One of the largest trading companies in the world, Glencore brought its global experience in logistics and supply chain management to enhance ALE’s practices, especially in operations, logistics, and processes.

For resellers, the company offers differentials such as the ALE Club (relationship and loyalty), the partnership with Moove for supplying Mobil brand lubricants, the ALE Corporate Academy (training and development), the “Ligados na Qualidade” program (fuel certification), the Entreposto convenience stores (EP), and the ALE Express Automotive Service units.
