ANEEL Delays 5 Energy Auctions Planned for 2020

ANEEL – National Electric Energy Agency and the Ministry of Mines and Energy published, in an extraordinary edition of the DOU, the postponement of the auctions planned for the year 2020 with no date set for their continuation. The ordinance indefinitely postpones the following events:

– Existing Energy Auctions (A-4 and A-5);
– New Energy Auctions (A-4 and A-6);
– Transmission Auction; and
– Auction for Supply to Isolated Systems.

The Electric Energy Commercialization Chamber – CCEE, Energy Research Company and ONS – National Electric System Operator announced on March 27 a revision of the load forecast for 2020, with a decline of 0.9% compared to a growth forecast of 4.2%.
