Measure Was Taken During Meeting of the Investment Partnership Program Council That Also Included Projects in the Electricity Transmission Sector
The Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, declared last Wednesday (05/08), after the meeting of the Investment Partnership Program Council (CPPI), that four projects will be classified as priorities by the federal government.
The four projects are: the completion of the Angra 3 nuclear power plant project, the Manaus-Boa Vista transmission line, the new energy auctions A-4 and A-6 from 2019, and the transmission auction that will offer concessions in ten states and will take place in December of this year.
Action Plan
With the aim of resuming the works on Angra 3, halted since 2015, the goal is to create a group for a “task force” formed by the ministries of Economy and Mines and Energy, the PPI secretariat, and the Institutional Security Cabinet.
-
Government unlocks R$ 554 million for a highway that has been requested for decades and accelerates the duplication of BR.
-
Without bricks, without cement, and without endless construction: the cardboard house that is assembled in modules and can be moved.
-
Billions of barrels on the equatorial margin could lead Amapá to double its oil production in Brazil — the state aims to enter the route of companies in the Campos Basin, attract investments, and boost jobs and businesses in the oil and gas sector.

Without bricks, without cement, and without endless construction: the cardboard house that is assembled in modules and can be moved.
The group will be responsible for monitoring the choice of the model and partner for the completion of the works, which will still require around R$ 16 billion in investments.
The government is working with the projected operational start of the plant for January 2026.
Regarding the Manaus-Boa Vista transmission line, which will connect the state of Roraima to the National Interconnected System (SIN), the government’s expectation is that the license will be released by June and that construction will begin in the second half of this year.
It is worth noting that the state of Roraima is entirely dependent on energy from Venezuela, and the expected completion of the works will be in December 2021.
Other key projects for the government include: the A-4 auction, scheduled for June 27 of this year, aimed at contracting new energy from hydropower, wind, solar photovoltaic, and biomass thermoelectric projects, with investments estimated at R$ 5 billion.
The A-6 auction will take place in September and involves water, biomass thermoelectric, coal and gas projects, as well as wind and solar photovoltaic projects, with investments around R$ 7 billion, expected to be ready from January 2025.
Lastly, the government’s fourth priority project is the transmission concessions auction expected to take place in December, which will offer 2,477 km of lines distributed across the states of Goiás, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Acre, Pará, Bahia, Alagoas, Ceará, and Rio Grande do Sul.
With estimated investments of R$ 3.42 billion, the projects are expected to be completed in 48 to 60 months.
