Aiming For The Strong Heat Of The Fuel Sector In Brazil In Recent Years, Cocamar Enters The Biodiesel Market Of The State Of Paraná With The Start Of Productive Activities In Its Plant After Being Granted An ANP Authorization.

Last Tuesday (07/26), the fuel company Cocamar obtained the necessary authorizations from the National Agency Of Petroleum, Natural Gas And Biofuels (ANP) to start its productive activities at the biodiesel plant in Maringá, located in the state of Paraná. Thus, the company enters the national biodiesel market focusing on boosting the sector and contracts with distributors in the region, aiming to increase its business portfolio in the country.

Cocamar Enters The Brazilian Biodiesel Market After Obtaining ANP Approval To Start Productive Activities At Its Production Plant In Paraná

The Brazilian biodiesel market has just become even larger, amid a scenario of strong investments and high demand in the renewable fuels sector worldwide, with the arrival of the company Cocamar in the biodiesel market of the state of Paraná. This is because the company obtained the necessary authorizations from the ANP to initiate the productive activities of its resource production plant in the Maringá region, in the state of Paraná.

The company had announced more than a year and a half ago that it had a strong interest in entering the Brazilian biodiesel market due to its high profit potential and invested a total of R$ 40 million in the development of the biodiesel production plant in the state of Paraná.

The operating authorization confirms the information that was listed in the ANP spreadsheet detailing biofuel plants under construction and expansion, aiming to enter the national fuel segment. Now, the Brazilian biofuels market expands even further and will be able to meet the high international demand for products amid the race for energy transition.

New Biodiesel Production Plant In The State Of Paraná Expands State Market And Elevates The Region To A New Level In The National Ranking

The biodiesel production plant of Cocamar will have a production capacity of about 127.1 thousand m³ of biofuel per year, placing the structure in the 37th position in the national ranking of manufacturers, thus taking over the position of Bocchi, whose plant in Muitos Capões (RS) currently has a capacity to produce up to 108 thousand m³. Following Cocamar’s entry into the biodiesel market of Paraná, the state will have an installed capacity of 1.49 million m³ — an increase of 9.3% compared to the current production park.

With this new increase in its biodiesel production, the state of Paraná shortens the gap that separates it from Goiás, which is currently the fourth largest producing market with nearly 2.16 million m³ in capacity. Lastly, Cocamar’s arrival in the state will also ensure a significant boost in national production, bringing the overall production capacity of the country to 12.9 million m³.
