Oceânica Announces Offshore Vacancy on 14×14 Schedule for Electrical Technician in Rio de Janeiro
The job vacancy requires technical rigor because the work involves ensuring the safety and continuity of maritime operations.
According to the company, the main mission of the Assistant Chief of Machines will be to ensure that all systems on the vessel operate within ideal parameters, avoiding failures and reducing risks during navigation and the transportation of passengers.
Main Responsibilities of the Offshore Vacancy
Baru Offshore highlighted that the new Assistant Chief of Machines will work directly in the operational routine of the vessel. Among the activities, the professional will need to:
Participate in the handover and receipt processes, sharing with the Captain all information regarding the state of the equipment;
Continuously monitor machines and auxiliary systems, ensuring that all operational parameters are within standard;
Continuously evaluate metrology equipment, such as ammeters, voltmeters, frequency meters, and indicators of power, temperature, and level;
Control alarms and pre-alarms, intervening quickly in the event of any failure;
Record essential data, such as hour meters, lubricant stock, and fuel consumption.
In addition, the Assistant Chief of Machines must resolve mechanical failures autonomously, inform the Captain of any damage that cannot be resolved onboard, and maintain constant alignment so that preventive maintenance does not interfere with operations.
The company also emphasizes that the professional will play a key role in conducting QSMS practices — Quality, Safety, Environment, and Health — following legal regulations, internal policies, and client requirements.
Requirements to Participate in the Job Vacancy
The vacancy requires that the candidate holds:
CIR CDM valid;
Certificates III/5, TBS, EESS, ECIA, EPSM, and EBCP;
Updated vaccines for Yellow Fever and COVID-19.
The company also emphasizes that only candidates with all maritime documentation regularized and who complete the full registration will be considered.
Onboard Work Regime and Offered Benefits
Baru Offshore adopts a 28×28 days shift system, standard in offshore operations, ensuring equivalent rest periods after each boarding cycle. Among the benefits offered are:
Health and dental plan;
Meal voucher;
Life insurance;
Employee assistance programs, such as My Doctor Friend and Use Life.
The set of benefits demonstrates, according to the company, the commitment to maintaining a safe, sustainable, and welcoming environment for maritime teams.
