Embraer informed about the contract worth 3,9 billion, for the sale of aircraft with deliveries scheduled to start in 2023

The aircraft manufacturer Embraer informed that the North American company Azorra signed a contract for the purchase of 20 aircraft of the E2 family and another 30 purchase rights, adding up to a total of 50 units. The order is valued, at list price, at a total of $3,9 billion. According to Embraer, the negotiation is flexible and gives permission to Azorra to buy E190-E2 or E195-E2 aircraft.

Other news:

“Our team has a long and productive history with Embraer. At Jetscape, we were the first independent leasing company to commit to Embraer's E-Jet program in December 2007, and E-Jets have since established a global customer base with more than 80 operators. Azorra's first new aircraft was a Phenom 300, acquired from Embraer in December 2016”, says John Evans, Executive Director of Azorra.

Furthermore, Evans adds that, due to its modernity and performance, which is not only economical but also environmentally superior, the E2 family of aircraft reinforces the ideal of making Azorra one of the leaders in the aviation market.

About Azorra

Azorra provides tailor-made financial products and specialized management services, in addition to advisory services for airlines, investors and lessors. As such, it is an aircraft leasing company, specializing in executive, regional and commercial aircraft, headquartered in Florida, as stated in a statement sent to the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) by Embraer.

Deliveries of the aircraft included in the acquisition contract will start in 2023, and will add another 20 Embraer aircraft to the other 21 that are already in the portfolio.

Azorra and Embraer have a very close relationship, considering that the US company is also part of the Eve project, a “flying car” startup by the Brazilian company. The new investment is helping Embraer recover after the unsuccessful attempt to merge its commercial aviation operations with Boeing, which began in 2018 and was aborted shortly before the Covid-19 pandemic, at the beginning of 2020. XNUMX.

This recovery by Embraer was evident with the appreciation of the company's shares in a context of market decline in the Ibovespa, which is the main Brazilian stock index. While the latter was 12%, Embraer's shares appreciated by more than 180% during 2021.
