With State-of-the-Art Technology and Maximum Protection, the Federal Police Scorpion Armored Vehicle Raises the Standard of Tactical Operations in Extreme Scenarios in Brazil.

The armored vehicle of the Federal Police is a game changer in security strategies and combating organized crime in Brazil. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and designed to withstand explosions and ambushes, the MRAP (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected) vehicle officially began to integrate the PF fleet in 2022, bringing more robustness, safety, and effectiveness to high-risk operations.

In total, eight units of the Scorpion MRAP model, manufactured by Streit Group, renowned worldwide in the tactical vehicle sector, have been incorporated.

The certification of the Federal Police armored vehicle follows the STANAG 4569 Level 2 standard, ensuring ballistic resistance and protection against explosions of up to 10 kg of TNT.

This means the team can operate in conflict zones with greater safety, including against grenades and heavy weaponry, without compromising the physical integrity of the officers.

Performance and Advanced Technology

Weighing around 9 tons, the Federal Police armored vehicle is powered by a 6.7L turbo diesel engine with 300 horsepower.

This combination ensures a speed of up to 110 km/h and a range of 800 km, which are critical factors for prolonged operations or in hard-to-access locations.

The off-road capability is also impressive: the vehicle overcomes slopes of up to 60%, operates on lateral inclines of 40%, and crosses rivers or flooded areas with depths of up to 1.5 meters.

A major differentiator of the Federal Police armored vehicle is its integration with remotely controlled weapons (RWS), developed by the Spanish company Escribano.

Four of the eight units are already equipped with this technology, allowing the officer to operate without leaving the vehicle. This function significantly increases the safety of the agents in the field and improves shooting accuracy during confrontations.

The Federal Police armored vehicle was developed to face the most hostile and varied scenarios. In high-risk operations, such as executing warrants in communities dominated by criminal factions, it ensures the integrity of the teams.

In situations like riots, kidnappings, and coordinated attacks, the vehicle acts as essential tactical support.

Furthermore, the Federal Police armored vehicle stands out for safely transporting troops in conflict zones, inserting and extracting teams with efficiency and protection.

In remote areas, such as borders or rural regions, the vehicle is capable of overcoming natural obstacles and acting even under ambush threat.
