Data Survey Reveals That Brazil Is the Second Most Difficult Country in the World to Obtain a Driver’s License, with High Rejection Rates.

Obtaining a driver’s license, known as CNH, is a significant challenge in Brazil. The difficulty of obtaining this document is reflected in the high rejection rates in driving tests, as shown by data from the Detran in each state. For example, Detran in Pernambuco reports an average rejection rate of 55%. This reality is not just a popular perception; it is backed by numbers that demonstrate how complicated the process is for many Brazilians seeking to obtain their driver’s license. Detran data indicates that many candidates face difficulties in passing the practical driving test, making the process even more challenging.

Detran Data and Rejection Rates in Exams

The rejection rates in driving tests reveal a concerning situation.

The Detran, responsible for licensing drivers across Brazil, indicates that many candidates face challenges in passing the practical driving test.

Rejections can be attributed to various factors, such as the high cost of obtaining the CNH and the requirement for rigorous training.

Additionally, Brazilian laws require candidates to complete 60 hours of classes, including 45 hours of theory and 15 hours of practice, posing a significant challenge for those seeking to obtain their license.

Detran data also shows that even after hours of classes, many still fail to pass, reinforcing the idea that obtaining a driver’s license in Brazil is a true challenge.

Brazil in Numbers: The Worst Global Ranking

A survey conducted by Zutobi, an educational driving platform, showed that Brazil is among the most difficult countries in the world to obtain a driver’s license.

In the ranking, Brazil holds the second position, trailing only behind Croatia, which is considered the most difficult country to obtain a driver’s license.

The data shows that this scenario is concerning, as not only is the number of required classes for the CNH high, but the medical exams, which include psychological tests, are considered excessive by many candidates trying to obtain their CNH.

Thus, Detran and its regulations reflect this reality, placing Brazil in a challenging position regarding obtaining the CNH.

Other Countries with Greater Challenges to Obtain a Driver’s License

The Zutobi survey highlights that among the most difficult countries to obtain the CNH, Brazil ranks second.

In addition to Brazil, Croatia, which ranks first, is followed by countries such as Hungary, Bahrain, Montenegro, Kuwait, Chile, Belgium, Israel, and Lithuania.

This data demonstrates the difficulties many face when trying to obtain their license, raising questions about the need to review current requirements for the CNH in Brazil.

It is evident that the high rejection rates in Detran’s driving tests are a constant concern.

Obtaining the CNH in Brazil is a complex challenge, supported by data showing high rejection rates and a system of requirements that can be considered excessive.

Detran and its regulations reflect this reality, placing Brazil among the most difficult countries in the world to obtain a driver’s license.

The information and data presented emphasize the need to discuss and possibly reformulate the licensing process in Brazil, where the challenge of obtaining the CNH becomes even more evident.
