“The workers will be integrated into Mota-Engil with a work contract and a one-year (renewable) work visa,” assures Mota-Engil in a note sent to the newspaper É@GORA, emphasizing that the initiative will be developed in partnership with the Institute of Training of Portuguese-Speaking Countries (IF-CECPLP).

With the aim of also contributing “to regular and integrated immigration,” Mota-Engil states that this training, capacity-building, and hiring initiative for CPLP Workers in Portugal “aims to create job opportunities in Portugal for foreign workers, particularly from the CPLP, promoting cooperation and the advancement of the Portuguese language.”
To realize this objective, there will be a reception ceremony for the new Guinean workers hired under this program at the Mota-Engil yard in Porto Alto on July 20th, Wednesday.
Participating in the presentation between Mota-Engil and IF-CECPLP were: the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Francisco André; the Secretary of State for Labor, Miguel Fontes; the Executive Secretary of CPLP, Zacarias da Costa; and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mota-Engil Group, António Mota.
Mota-Engil Engenharia, a company with a history of over 70 years, holds one of the oldest construction licenses issued in Portugal.
