In a communication made directly to Click Petróleo e Gás, Braskem announced that it is developing a technique using hydrocarbon resins, which work as auxiliaries in the processing of rubber. The project aims to reduce time and cost of the industry. According to the institution, more details will be released at the Expo Center Norte exhibition, which takes place between the 22nd and 24th of this month. The event will take place in São Paulo (SP) and will have more companies participating.

Braskem, a leading company in the industrial biopolymer market, announced that it has developed a new resin technology that allows companies to reduce the time and cost of processing rubber. The new technology is expected to be announced on the market during Expo Center Norte, which starts this Wednesday, June 22nd, and should run until Friday, June 24th.

The stand will have 52m² and its portfolio has a series of products that aim to improve the productivity of the sector, while increasing the competitiveness of the industry. The products developed will also be exported to partner countries in Brazil.

Gustavo Sergi, director of Renewable Chemicals and Specialties at Braskem, stated that the company is a benchmark in the market due to its ability to offer an abundant amount of metals and characteristics, covering a huge audience of customers.

The hydrocarbon resins, which will be presented at the event, are used in the construction of tires and other products. Rubber artifacts and retreading bands also use them, as well as hoses and shoes. The discoveries will be able to enter several economic sectors, in order to automate processes.

In addition to saving time, resins have advantages such as reducing equipment wear during operation. Therefore, they can be considered tachyficating agents, that is, they improve flows.

Marlisa Reche, Director of Braskem's Olefins and Aromatics area, says that the institution is concerned with developing sustainable alternatives for rubber production from the beginning to the end of the chain. One of the examples cited by the institution in terms of sustainability is Eterno Verde, for the production of elastomers.
