First Quarter 2024 Results Align With The Group’s Recently Launched Strategies For The Next Four Years, With An Increase In Sustainability Services

Bureau Veritas, the global leader in Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC), closed the first quarter of 2024 with revenues exceeding €1.4 billion, a 2.5% increase compared to last year and 8% organic growth. The results confirm the Group’s outlook for this year and the new global strategies through 2028, with a focus on sustainable outcomes for clients. Since 2022, 55% of the company’s global revenue is related to sustainability services and solutions, and this year, Bureau Veritas joined the UN Global Compact, the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world.

“Based on our experience, technical knowledge and integrity, our goal is to be the preferred partner for our clients’ excellence and sustainability. Our aim is to facilitate adaptation to social and technological changes and evolve together on environmental issues with our portfolio focused on sustainable management, green bond issuance and carbon neutrality, in addition to our own certification in Brazil, BV ESG 360,” says Hernan Forte, Country Chief of Bureau Veritas in Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Present in 140 countries, Bureau Veritas achieved record revenue and profit growth worldwide, driven by energy transition and sustainability solutions from the BV Green Line portfolio. In 2023, the Group was listed among the best in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability ranking, as well as being ranked first in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment and is among the top-performing companies in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices for the fifth consecutive year.

In the next four years, Bureau Veritas aims to expand its leadership in Testing, Inspection and Certification, accelerate long-term market growth and optimize the value and impact of its entire portfolio. Another goal is to accelerate performance through programs that ensure efficiency and productivity, as well as modernizing processes and increasing technology. People are also a fundamental pillar of the Group, which aims to attract and develop talent, leveraging the knowledge and experience of over 83,000 employees worldwide.

Observing the current global market landscape, Bureau Veritas’s mission is to support clients in their sustainable transition journey, through the development of innovative solutions and expert support during transformation. As organizations become increasingly sustainable, the Group continues to offer services such as corporate strategy, operational transformation consulting, product management, supply chain assurance, and reporting.
