In this competitive universe, the Denza D9 dominates the executive luxury segment and has confirmed its arrival in Brazil next year.
Hot on its heels is the Toyota Sienna, a reference for family use, followed by the Buick GL8, which lost prominence by delaying the release of its PHEV version.
The list of rivals is extensive: GAC Trumpchi M8, XPeng X9, Zeekr 009, Volvo EM90, Voyah Dreamer, and the futuristic Li Auto Mega described as a “giant mouse” on wheels.

BYD Xia Impresses with Space and First-Class Experience
At 5.14 meters in length and a 3.04 m wheelbase, the Xia is a true living room on wheels.
The proposal becomes evident upon entering the second row, where first-class individual seats offer complete electric adjustments, ventilation, heating, and massage, all activated intuitively.
The mid-range and top versions feature an augmented reality opening system: as you approach the vehicle, a luminous icon appears on the ground, and you just need to step on it to open sliding doors or the trunk.
More intuitive than the traditional “kick to the bumper.”
The finish combines light tones and high-quality synthetic materials. The panoramic roof enhances the feeling of spaciousness, while foldable tables evoke a corporate lounge.
Another highlight is the internal silence. Thanks to reinforced insulation, frequent use of the electric mode, and double glazing, the cabin approaches the sensation of a private jet.
And to complete the experience, the DiSound sound system includes 28 speakers and 32 independent channels, promising “a cinema experience in the car.”

The DiSus-C suspension automatically adjusts the stiffness of the shock absorbers in real-time, prioritizing absolute comfort.
Range Above 1,000 km Highlights the PHEV Hybrid System
Thus, the BYD Xia brings the DM-i hybrid system with a 1.5 turbo engine and battery options of 20.4 kWh or 36.6 kWh, allowing for distances between 100 and 216 km in electric mode only (CLTC cycle). Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes 18 minutes.
With a combined power of 428 hp, the minivan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 9 seconds, achieving a total range between 1,060 km and 1,163 km.
Competitive Price Reinforces the Appeal of the Premium Minivan
Thus, in China, the BYD Xia costs between 249,800 and 285,800 yuan (R$ 188,000 to R$ 215,000). In Mexico, where it is called the M9, the price rises to R$ 285,000.
Even though Brazil currently has a timid market for minivans, the arrival of the Denza D9 may open doors for the Xia to also land in the future as a more accessible option.
