Caixa Will Install Solar Energy for Families Earning Up to R$ 9,600 Per Month and Has Already Started Releasing Credit of Up to R$ 30,000.

Caixa Econômica Federal has initiated the release of a new financing option that allows for the installation of solar energy in urban residences of families earning up to R$ 9,600 per month, under the Reform House Brazil Program.

Thus, the initiative, launched in November 2024, aims to expand access to energy efficiency, offering facilitated credit for those who wish to reduce their electricity bills and improve their property structure.

Right at the program’s opening, Caixa explained what is being offered: financing for the installation of solar energy and for remodeling works.

Eligible applicants include families with an income of up to R$ 9,600 per month. When did the initiative start? In November 2024. Where does it apply? In urban properties, even without a deed.

How does the process work? Through credit ranging from R$ 5,000 to R$ 30,000, with terms up to 60 months.

Moreover, why was the measure created? To democratize access to solar energy and improve the quality of life for Brazilian families.

Thus, the proposal makes a resource that has been growing in the country for years more accessible: photovoltaic systems, known for reducing energy costs and offering greater autonomy to residences.

Caixa Financing Will Install Solar Energy for Families Earning Up to R$ 9,600 Per Month

The financing created by Caixa offers differentiated conditions for those looking to invest in solar energy or carry out structural renovations.

Credit ranges from R$ 5,000 to R$ 30,000, and the terms range from 24 to 60 months, allowing more families to take on these improvements.

Interest rates are proportional to income:

Up to R$ 3,200: rate of 1.17% per month

Between R$ 3,201 and R$ 9,600: rate of 1.95% per month

Thus, the institution emphasizes that the process follows federal housing guidelines in effect between 2023 and 2025 and requires registration approval and credit analysis.

“The conditions were structured to expand social reach and ensure works focused on safety and efficiency,” Caixa reported.

Additionally, the program places solar energy as a central piece of housing improvement policy, reinforcing the strategic role of sustainability in family budgets.

Who Can Apply for Caixa’s Solar Energy Financing

Furthermore, to participate, the interested party must reside in an urban area and prove family income of up to R$ 9,600 per month, exactly the target audience of the financing that shows that Caixa will install solar energy for families earning up to this amount monthly.

Accepted properties can be:

Without a deed

Rented or lent

Mixed-use (residential and commercial)

Caixa also makes it clear that approval depends on credit analysis and that the measure aims to reach families that historically had difficulty financing this type of work.

Where the Credit Will Not Be Applied

Although Caixa will install solar energy for families earning up to R$ 9,600 per month, there are important restrictions. The credit cannot be used in properties located in:

Areas with a history of floods, inundations, or landslides

Lands with cracks or instability

Areas close to rivers, reservoirs, and springs

Parks, reserves, native forests, or environmentally protected areas

Locations embargoed by environmental agencies

Proximity to railways, roads, or transmission lines

Spaces under bridges or large public structures

According to Caixa, these restrictions are necessary to avoid risks to families and ensure the proper use of public resources.

Impact on Families and Expansion of Access to Solar Energy

With the program, Caixa reinforces its commitment to democratize the use of clean energy.

Thus, the possibility of installing solar energy for families earning up to R$ 9,600 per month represents an important advancement, as this audience usually faces barriers to financing more impactful improvements.

In addition to reducing monthly expenses, photovoltaic systems increase property value and contribute to urban sustainability.

In this way, the Reform House Brazil program consolidates itself as a tool for energy inclusion and housing modernization.
