On the morning of this Wednesday (7), Poços de Caldas took an important step to strengthen its economy with the laying of the foundation stone for the new unit of the multinational CANPACK.
The ceremony, held at the Industrial District, brought together various authorities, including the mayor Paulo Ney, the vice-mayor Eduardo Junuzzi, municipal secretaries, councilors, representatives from FIEMG, and executives from the company.

With an estimated investment of R$ 710 million, the new factory of CANPACK represents one of the largest private contributions in the recent history of the municipality.

“Today is a historic day for Poços de Caldas. The arrival of CANPACK is the result of a joint effort between the City Hall, the Secretariat of Economic Development, and our institutional partners. We are talking about job creation, valuing local industry, and consolidating Poços as an attractive hub for large investments,” he stated.

The CEO of CANPACK in Brazil, Paulo Roberto Dias, also celebrated the start of construction. “We chose Poços de Caldas for its logistical potential, structure, quality of labor, and the strong support from the municipal administration since the first discussions.
