In August 2025, CAOA Chery Anticipates 2026 Line in SP and Sells PHEV of 300 HP for R$ 219 Thousand; CAOA’s Black Model Without Additional Lowers Price
The CAOA Chery showroom on Av. Moreira Guimarães in São Paulo is already showcasing the 2026 line with combustion and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models. In a video recorded by presenter Stanley, prices were highlighted starting at R$ 219,990 for the Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV 2026 and up to R$ 272,990 for the Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV 2025/2026, both with over 300 HP combining a 1.5 turbo engine and electric propulsion.
One detail caught attention: the color black has no additional cost in the final price, while shades like gray add R$ 2,000 to the price. This makes, for example, the Tiggo 7 Sport in black drop to R$ 139,990, increasing competitiveness against SUVs from brands like Jeep, Volkswagen, and Hyundai.
Plug-In Hybrids Above 300 HP

The CAOA Chery Tiggo 7 Pro PHEV and Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV are the highlights of the 2026 showcase. Combining a 1.5 turbo engine with electric motors, they deliver power over 300 HP and partial range only in electric mode.

Combustion SUVs Also Get News
In addition to hybrids, the showroom already offers combustion options from the 2026 line. The Tiggo 7 Sport was announced at R$ 141,990, or R$ 139,990 in black, with a trunk capacity of 525 liters, electric front seats, full-LED headlights, and 18-inch wheels.
The Tiggo 7 Pro, in turn, offers a 1.6 turbo engine with 187 HP, 7-speed DCT transmission, an ADAS package with ACC, panoramic electric sunroof, and electric trunk opening. The Tiggo 5 Pro 2026 is priced at R$ 136,990, featuring a 360° camera, fixed panoramic roof, and full-LED headlights, while the Tiggo 5 Sport 2026 is listed at R$ 119,990 (or R$ 121,990 in gray, due to the additional color charge).
Arrizo Sedan Maintains Competitive Price
Among the sedans, the Arrizo 2025 was showcased at R$ 139,990 in black and R$ 141,990 in white. The model features advanced technologies such as ACC, 360° cameras, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot alert, electric driver’s seat, and induction charger. Equipped with a mild hybrid system, it does not recharge at the outlet or run only in electric mode but adds efficiency to consumption.
Pricing Policy and Market Impact
CAOA Chery’s policy of not charging extra for the black color has become a competitive differentiator. In a segment where rivals often charge extra for metallic or pearlescent paint, this strategy lowers the final price and pressures direct competitors.
According to Stanley, the Tiggo 7 Sport is currently one of the best cost-benefit SUVs in the category, offering more equipment than the Jeep Compass, VW T-Cross, Chevrolet Tracker, and Hyundai Creta in the same price range.
And you, do you think CAOA Chery’s strategy of launching 2026 models early and selling plug-in hybrids over 300 HP at aggressive prices will shake up the Brazilian market?
