Bahia stands out with its wind farm with a capacity of 1 GW
The wind energy park at Casa dos Ventos has an installed capacity of 1 GW divided into two phases. For this to become possible, investments of more than R$ 5 billion were necessary, which were divided between supply banks and the company's own resources.
The first phase of the wind farm has 504 MW of installed capacity divided into 120 turbines. Of this total, 15 turbines are already operating and another 15 should operate in the coming weeks.
In total, there are four assembly fronts working full time for the project to be implemented as quickly as possible, putting four or five turbines into operation per week. Casa dos Ventos recently energized the collection station and expects that all turbines will be in operation by the end of this year.

The signing of the protocol for the future investment was confirmed through the Secretariat for Economic Development, which is responsible for the formalities in partnership with the project developer.
According to Exame Invest Magazine, the company has plans to negotiate around 16 billion in two years, and a large part of these investments will be focused on Bahia. More than 10 jobs will be created in Bahia
Nelson Leal, Secretary of Economic Development, pointed out that the state government, with this initiative, seeks to decentralize investments in the capital and expand to other municipalities in Bahia, all through investment in cities in the interior.
Thus, municipalities will have more internal investments, generating more jobs and income for the population. In total, more than 10 new jobs will be generated in the wind turbine installation process alone. During the operation period, 52 jobs may be generated in the wind farms.
