Central Bank announces a package of news on the PIX that will make it even more complete, faster, safer and more efficient

Pix, a recent tool launched by BACEN that aims to facilitate payments and transfers, receives this Friday (30) new functions that aim to make life easier for its users. Project from the Central Bank, Pix is an instant payment system, launched in November last year. However, even though it is recent, it will gain new functions that will make the tool even more Assessment.

EMERGENCY AID

The first novelty will start working from April 30th. The new function will benefit people who are receiving the Emergency Aid 2021, which can now be moved by the PIX. The exception will be for transfers to accounts of the same ownership

PIX SCHEDULE

Another feature is the Scheduled Pix. Even though it is not linked to a Pix Collection, it will have to be offered by all institutions, starting from the 1st of September of this year. Pix Scheduled is a paying user's tool to schedule a Pix for a future date.

Collection

The third novelty proposes that institutions participating in the Pix, which somehow failed to provide payment with the QR Code reading, between May 14th and June 30th, must offer, at least, the payment reading on the reading date of the QR Code.

New services

More options will be offered to users of the tool in 2021 and 2022. Central Bank consultant Breno Lobo also pointed out that by the end of the first half of 2021 the opportunity will be offered to use the salary account to start a Pix for portability and withdrawals.

"It is a new way of giving access to cash to the population, using the infrastructure. We facilitate this access to cash, especially when we talk about cities in the interior of the country that have difficulty transporting money to these locations, which have problems with the number of branches available”, says Breno Lobo.

Ease

Since its launch, Pix's proposal has always been to make payments easier, such as account transactions or even transfers, in a few seconds. These new features will make the service even faster and easier.
