Bajaj will install its factory in Brazil in May. Following the plans revealed last year, the Indian giant has set the date to commence operations at its manufacturing facility in the country. After the inauguration of the factory, the company confirmed it will launch 2 new 200cc motorcycles in the Brazilian market.
Meet the New Budget Motorcycle Bajaj Dominar 200
Present in Brazil since December 2022, the Indian company offers models such as Dominar 160, Dominar 200, and Dominar 400. The motorcycles are currently assembled in partnership with Dafra, but will then be produced by Bajaj itself.

The new Bajaj Dominar 200 features a liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine with a displacement of 199.5 cm³. It is capable of delivering an incredible torque of 1.91 kgfm and an impressive 24.5 horsepower, more powerful than even larger competitors.
The suspension of the new budget motorcycle features a telescopic fork in the front and a monoshock in the rear. The brakes have 230mm discs at the back and 300mm at the front, which also includes single-channel ABS.
The Bajaj Dominar 200 maintains the 17-inch wheels as in the Dominar 400, with factory tires measuring 100/80 in the front and 130/70 at the rear. The 200cc motorcycle also features a fuel tank that holds 12L and space for a 12V and 8Ah battery.
What Is the Price of Bajaj’s New Budget Motorcycle?
Despite being very powerful compared to 300cc motorcycles, the Bajaj Dominar 200 has arrived with prices similar to those of larger motorcycles. The suggested price for the new 200cc motorcycle is R$ 19,637, comparable to 250 cm³ models. Those interested in purchasing the new budget motorcycle should visit one of the five dealerships located in the state of São Paulo.
They are: Bajaj Triple in São Paulo (Santo Amaro and Campinas (SP), Veg, also in São Paulo, Marello in Santo André (SP), and Rota B in Jundiaí (SP). The brand also plans to open stores in Belo Horizonte (MG), Santa Catarina, and Brasília.
Company Plans to Be a Leader with Its New Bajaj Dominar 200 Motorcycle
According to Bajaj, the goal of tripling its sales volumes in 2024 will be achieved due to the start of operations at the brand’s new factory in Manaus (AM) at the end of May. The plant will have a total production capacity of 20,000 units per year, a volume that will be gradually reached, following the testing and operation schedule of the factory. This will be the brand’s first production facility outside India.
According to Bajaj Auto Limited’s CEO, Rakesh Sharma, operating with its own factory in Brazil, the largest motorcycle market in Latin America, will help the company gain insights into product development and consumer behavior that will contribute to strengthening the brand throughout the region.
