China’s success in 2024 was not a coincidence. Macroeconomic policies were the engine that drove this real turnaround in the labor market.
Imagine saving billions and, with that, ensuring the survival of companies and the maintenance of jobs. That’s exactly what the temporary reduction of the unemployment insurance rate to 1% did. This measure saved around RMB 130.9 billion for companies, allowing them to maintain their operations and continue hiring.
