With Compact SUV Size, 1.0 Turbo Engine with 130 Hp, CVT Transmission and a Giant 490L Trunk, the Citroën Basalt Feel 2025 Arrives for Only R$ 99,990! But Does This Promotional Price Make It Brazil’s Best Buy? Find Out Now!
Citroën has brought to market a model that promises to be the best cost-benefit in the category. The Citroën Basalt Feel 2025 offers SUV size, turbo engine, and automatic transmission for less than R$ 100,000, quickly becoming one of the brand’s best-selling cars.
The Best-Selling Citroën in Brazil
Since the merger between Peugeot and Citroën, which resulted in Stellantis, Citroën’s strategy in Brazil has changed. The Basalt Feel 2025 has already surpassed models like the C3 and C3 Aircross and now only sells less than the Peugeot 2008 within the group.
With a promotional price of R$ 99,990, Citroën has managed to turn the Basalt into one of the most affordable compact SUVs in the country. Just in January, over 1,200 units were sold, showing the strength of this model in the market.

This promotion, which seems to be ongoing, has been one of the car’s greatest attractions. But is it worth sticking with the Feel Turbo version, or is it better to invest a little more and go for the Shiny version?
Bold Design and Compact SUV Size
The Citroën Basalt stands out for its considerable size within the segment. It measures 4.34 meters in length and has a 2.64-meter wheelbase, surpassing compact SUVs like the Hyundai Creta.
The ground clearance of 21 cm ensures good capability to overcome urban obstacles and dirt roads, without compromising drivability.
The front design is robust, with a prominent grille and halogen headlights, which may disappoint those expecting full LED lighting. At the rear, the taillight has a striking design but also lacks LED technology.
Despite this, the visual set is pleasing and reinforces the concept of an urban SUV.
Engine, Performance, and CVT Transmission
The Citroën Basalt Feel 2025 comes equipped with a 1.0 turbo three-cylinder engine, the same used in Fiat models, delivering 130 hp on ethanol and 125 hp on gasoline. The transmission is a CVT that simulates seven gears.
The performance numbers are satisfactory for a compact SUV:
- Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.8 seconds
- City consumption: 7.6 km/l on ethanol
- Highway consumption: 11.6 km/l on ethanol
The torque of 20.4 kgfm at 1,750 rpm ensures good launches, but city consumption could be better. The noise from the engine and the air conditioning may also bother some drivers.
Spacious Interior but Simple Finishing

The interior space of the Citroën Basalt Feel 2025 is one of its main attractions. Those traveling in the back seat have more comfort than in many compact SUVs, making it an interesting option for those who need space.
On the other hand, the finishing is simple, with hard plastics throughout the cabin. The seats are fabric, with no leather upholstery option, and the rear windows do not roll down completely.
The 10-inch multimedia system, with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, is a positive point. However, the air conditioning is not digital, and some basic items, such as height adjustment for the seat belt, are not present.
