Popular CNH: In-Person Service Scheduled for August 23 and 24. Detran-CE Organizes Popular CNH Drive in Six Cities with Prior Appointment and Required Documentation

The program moves to another stage this month, with in-person service on August 23 and 24, aimed at those who have already been approved and need to confirm their application with the Ceará State Department of Transit (Detran-CE).
According to the agency, the services will take place in a drive format, allowing candidates to submit documents in person and advance in the licensing process. The measure aims to broaden access to driver training and ensure that beneficiaries do not miss the deadline.
Where the Popular CNH Service Will Be Held
The in-person Popular CNH service will take place in six municipalities in Ceará, during morning and afternoon hours. To participate, it is necessary to make online appointments on the Detran-CE website and attend with original documents such as ID, CPF, proof of residence, and registration in the Unified Cadastre.

Who Can Participate in the Popular CNH
The program is aimed at low-income citizens registered in federal government social programs, such as the Unified Cadastre for Social Programs (CadÚnico). In addition, it is necessary to meet criteria set by Detran-CE, which include proof of residence and prior registration.
According to the agency, the goal is to ensure that vulnerable individuals have the chance to obtain their first license without bearing the high costs of driving schools. This includes exemption from exam fees, theoretical and practical classes.
