The company’s operational capacity increased by 150,000 tons, and the waste from the dam was reused to transform it into high value-added products. Through this new process, the ore is compacted and subjected to high temperatures, removing contaminants and producing changes in the microstructure of the base element, resulting in a coherent solid part.
The metallurgical recovery of waste increased production, which allowed for the creation of 150 jobs and an increase to over 3,500 direct and indirect jobs.
