Government Signs Agreement for Billion-Dollar Investments for Solar Power Mega Project in Piauí. In Addition to Generating Renewable Energy, the Project Promises to Create Thousands of New Jobs, check out the details!
The Government of Piauí took a strategic step towards strengthening the clean energy matrix in the state. Through Investe Piauí, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on March 21, with the companies Coensa Construções Planejadas Ltda and Prosolar Geradora de Energia Solar (SPE) Ltda, for the implementation of a solar power mega project in the state.
The initiative aims to transform Piauí into a national reference in renewable energy generation, taking advantage of the high solar radiation index in the region. The project will be installed in a strategic area of the Piauí semi-arid region and is expected to attract billion in private investments, in addition to generating thousands of direct and indirect jobs during the construction, operation, and maintenance phases of the solar parks.
In recent years, Piauí has stood out nationally as one of the states with the greatest potential for solar and wind energy production, establishing itself as a sustainable and attractive hub for green investments.
