However, it was only in 2001 that Coca-Cola acquired the definitive rights to the brand and took on the responsibility for its production and distribution throughout the national territory.

In some limited editions, the company even launched thematic cans featuring prints by Maranhão artists or commemorative editions during São João and Carnival.

Sou Pernambucano, de Recife, e indo por diversas vezes a São Luís, a trabalho, conheci o refrigerante “jesus”, trouxe para minha terra pacotes e pacotes, de jesus, para presentear amigos e ter sempre na geladeira.
A coca cola viu que nao tinha espaços, em nenhum lugar do maranhao, correu atras da marca, mas os bares la no espaco antigo(reviver), onde vão os turistas e moradores locais, so tem “jesus” nas mesas dos bares. A coca cola, nunca vai superar o refri “jesus” no maranhão, o povo por la é bastante fiel. Parabens.
