Pedro Parente Met With Several Representatives of Coleste to Consolidate and Explain Details of the Comperj Works
[supsystic-social-sharing id=’1′]The Comperj was once again one of the main topics at the meeting that gathered the members of the Intermunicipal Consortium for Development of the Fluminense East (Conleste), which took place on the last 24th in the presence of the current president of Petrobras, Pedro Parente. He stated that the works of Route 3 of the UPGN are the main focus of the company at the moment due to their gas line branches that will process in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin. Parente emphasized:” There is no turning back; this work must happen one way or another, otherwise Petrobras will not be able to fully process its oil and natural gas production”.
According to cp, Marina Fachetti, who is the executive manager of the Refining, Gas, and Energy Projects department, the gas pipelines will pass through the municipalities of Itaboraí, Maricá, Guapimirim, and Magé. She further emphasized that the Northern Pipeline works are already well advanced, with the objective of connecting the Comperj Network to the Reduc refinery in the municipality of Duque de Caxias to transport LPG cooking gas and water.
Task Force
The Conleste demanded from Pedro Parente more clarity regarding the processes involving the works, so they requested the creation of a kind of “working group” that will include the board of Petrobras and the members of the consortium to stay informed about the project’s steps in real time. Parente agreed to analyze the case and provide a response soon. The forecast is that the works will be carried out between 2018 and 2019, with operation commencing in 2020.
