All production lines of the new factory under construction will start their work already robotized, with self-diagnosis of machines and records for maintenance via mobile. The unit will serve the Ceusa and Portinari brands, producing large-format ceramic tiles that can be used on countertops and facades, replacing marble tiles.

The construction of this new factory in São Paulo will complement the production of ceramic tiles at the company's four units located in the south of Brazil, in the state of Santa Catarina in the cities of Urussanga and Criciúma. The construction period is approximately two years. Dexco estimates the generation of 350 direct jobs in the region and plans to deliver the first line of locally produced products in 2023.

The company also announced a plan to invest BRL 2,5 billion over three years

The company's investments in its units will add up to R$ 2,5 billion in three years. R$ 500 million will be invested in the Wood division, the company's main business, R$ 1,1 billion in Deca, R$ 600 million in the new construction of the ceramic tile factory, R$ 100 million in the acquisition of a minority stake in the ABC da Construção network, R$ 100 million in a “venture capital” fund and R$ 100 million in specific contributions. In addition to increasing capacity, the investments will make it possible to improve margins.

Currently, all Dexco units operate at full capacity. With the exception of the construction of the new ceramic tile factory that will be built in Botucatu, the other investments will be made in existing units, taking advantage of the technical stoppages of each one. The new capacities will come into operation in the market gradually until 2024.
