Fostering Civil Construction in Maceió, Engenharq Has Already Received Authorization from Sedet to Begin Construction of the Project That Promises to Generate 900 New Jobs for the Municipality
The construction of the Jardim dos Girassóis Residential, in the Cidade Universitária neighborhood, will create 900 direct and indirect jobs in the project in Maceió, which has already received, from the Municipal Secretariat for Territorial Development and Environmental Affairs (Sedet), environmental authorization to begin construction. A total of 455 residences will be built on the site, according to Sedet.

Construction Costs Exceed R$ 1,000 per Square Meter in Alagoas
The National Construction Index (Sinapi) rose to 1.8% in May in the state, which also increased costs in the industry according to data from IBGE.
Costs rose from R$ 1,253 in April to R$ 1,276 in May. Of the total spent in May, approximately R$ 793 was spent on materials and R$ 482 on labor. According to Augusto Oliveira, manager of Sinapi, there were widespread increases in material prices throughout Brazil, especially in Bahia, which reached 4.94%.
Materials also show the highest accumulated index over the past year, at 31.58%. Among the materials, those containing steel as raw material remained strongly influenced, which had already been anticipated in previous months. Regarding labor, there was an increase of 0.58% in the share.
