FPSO from Yinson company

The company Yinson, FPSO provider in Malaysia signed a contract with TMC, which will supply the FPSO Anna Nery with compressed air. The FPSO will operate in the Marlim 2 oil field, located in the Campos Basin

TMC said it had signed a contract with Yinson and that the compressed air system will consist of four large capacity instrument and service air compressors with associated air dryers and filters. The company did not disclose the value of the contract. The service will serve the FPSO Anna Nery, which is destined for the Marlim 2 oil field, located in the Campos Basin.

The FPSO will be installed in the Marlim 2 oil field, in the Campos Basin, 150 kilometers off the coast of Brazil, in a water depth of 930 meters. Anna Nery has the capacity to produce 70 barrels of oil and 4 million cubic meters of gas per day. The start of production is scheduled for 2023. The units will be operated and chartered for 25 years.

According to TMC's Director of Sales and Business Development, Hans Petter Tanum, “When you operate far from shore, you need a powerful and reliable air supply on board. Our marine compressed air systems are designed exclusively for marine and offshore use. We never use compressors that were developed for land applications and have been marinized ever since. We believe this approach has made us the preferred system provider for most FPSO operators.”

TMC will manufacture the equipment in Europe and deliver it to the Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry shipyard in Qidong, China, which was tasked with converting the Falcon 308.900 dwt into the Anna Nery.
