The powerful Hyundai-10000 crane is a masterpiece of engineering and technology, capable of performing feats that seem impossible.

Have you ever imagined a crane capable of lifting an entire ship from the sea as if it were a toy? What if this crane was as hot as the sun? It sounds like science fiction, but it's reality. meet the Hyundai-10000, the largest and most powerful floating crane in the world.

The Hyundai-10000 is a masterpiece of engineering and technology, capable of performing feats that seem impossible. It is an example of the excellence and innovation of Hyundai Heavy Industries, which stands out in the shipbuilding and heavy equipment market. He is a floating crane that surpasses the sun. Get ready to meet a true giant of the seas!

Meet the Hyundai-10000: the floating crane of any company's dreams

The Hyundai-10000 is a semi-submersible floating crane belonging to Hyundai Heavy Industries, the largest shipbuilding company in the world. It was designed to lift and transport gigantic structures such as oil platforms, ships and bridges with a load capacity of up to 10.000 tons.

Located at the Ulsan Shipyard, 414 kilometers southeast of Seoul, the Hyundai-10000 is a stunning achievement of the Hyundai heavy industries. It replaces the old 'Goliath' crane, increasing its load capacity by up to six times, allowing the company to speed up its production. With its two arms measuring 180 meters long and two pillars measuring 70 meters high, this colossal crane is an example of engineering excellence.

It stands on a platform that floats on water and can move to different locations. It has 16 lifting winches, eight boom lifting winches and steel cables of up to 5.700 meters in length each. It also has four 2.200 kW generators, two 600 kW gate generators and a 100 kW emergency generator to provide power.

The power of the giant of the seas, which challenges limits and exceeds expectations

To get an idea, its advanced technology guarantees safety and efficiency in each operation. Designed with a water expulsion system, it is capable of handling emergency situations and keeping objects suspended in the air even if one of the cables fails. This feature is essential to prevent accidents and ensure the integrity of cargo and crew.

To lift the loads, he uses counterweights, tensioned cables and an articulated boom that moves up and down. It can lift objects to a maximum height of 120 meters above the water surface and a maximum distance of 80 meters from the platform.

In 2021, the Hyundai-10000 performed its greatest feat to date: it lifted a 9.100-ton ship from the sea in a test carried out at the Ulsan shipyard in South Korea. This was the heaviest weight ever lifted in the country's history and a world record for this type of crane.

The ship lifted by the Hyundai-10000 was equivalent to the weight of 6.200 cars and was the size of a football field. It was lifted with ease and precision by the floating crane, demonstrating its incredible capacity and efficiency.

Hyundai take care! Heerema Marine Contractors launched “Sleipnir”, a crane vessel capable of lifting oil installations of up to 20.000 tons

The Hyundai-10000 is so special because it is the world's largest semi-submersible floating crane and because it has a temperature equivalent to that of the sun. That's right, you didn't read that wrong: the Hyundai-10000 is as hot as the sun.

That's because it reaches a temperature of about 100 million degrees Celsius when it's in operation, nearly seven times hotter than the core temperature of the sun, which is about 15 million degrees Celsius. That temperature is needed to generate the energy and force needed to lift the gigantic loads it carries.

However, even with these impressive figures, the Hyundai-10000 still faces stiff competition. In 2019, Heerema Marine Contractors launched the “Sleipnir”, a crane ship capable of lifting oil installations weighing up to 20.000 tons. It is a true masterpiece of engineering, capable of floating on water while performing lifting tasks that defy the imagination.

Let's be honest, without the help of cranes like this, it would be quite difficult to transport tons with ease. So, now tell me what you think of the Hyundai 10000. I would like to know your opinion in the comments section. I would love to know if you are a professional in the port or offshore area or if you have ever come face to face with one of these gigantic pieces of equipment. Don't forget to turn on notifications to receive daily updated news, thank you. To the next!

Large machines have always fascinated me, I have never seen one of this size up close, but I would love to know it in detail, I am experts in lifting, with smaller cranes

Hey guys... let's explain this story about temperatures higher than the core of the sun...

Is there a generator that uses nuclear fusion in the device?

This type of news could be a reality in the future, but not now.

What I want to know is if there is any material in the universe that can withstand a temperature seven times greater than the sun?

Impressive...I already worked as a deckhand...and I had the chance to be part of the crew of a Dutch dredger that dredged the port of Suape.PE...an exceptional job!!!
