Copel's first solar plant, which is being built in the municipality of Bandeirantes, in northern Paraná, is receiving the final part of the photovoltaic structures and modules.
The distribution line for the solar energy plant that will connect the generating parks to Copel's grid is also already being installed, this will be the first plant to be installed in the municipality of Bandeirantes.

Power from Copel's solar power plant
The system will have a total installed capacity of 5,36 MWp (megawatt-peak, photovoltaic energy power unit) and the first phase should start operating in 2020.
“We are very grateful for the completion process of the Bandeirantes plant, we will be proud to put this new project into practice, which will be available not only for the population, but also for commercial purposes”, says the superintendent of Copel's Business Development Board , Richard Rothstein.

Project to build shared solar power plants in partnership with Copel
In the generation of shared solar energy, it is possible to consider two or more consumer units gathered through a consortium or cooperative to use a portion of the energy generated by the plant to reduce the energy bill.
In remote self-consumption, the consumer units must have the same ownership, that is, linked to the same CNPJ. In both cases, the consumer units must be within Copel's concession area.
