Yamaha scooter bets on a renewed look, embedded technology, and electric assistance at take-offs to compete among the most equipped urban models in the low displacement category in Brazil, focusing on practicality, economy, and connectivity in daily use.
Yamaha has launched the Fluo ABS Hybrid Connected 2027 line in the Brazilian market with a suggested retail price of R$ 16,790, excluding freight, reinforcing its strategy to offer an efficient, technological urban scooter aligned with the demands of daily mobility in large cities.
In this context, the model’s main highlight remains the lightweight hybrid system, responsible for assisting the engine in moments of greater demand, especially during take-offs, which enhances the feeling of agility and contributes to more efficient use in urban traffic.
Although the new line does not present structural changes in the mechanical set, the manufacturer invested in a visual update with new matte colors and unprecedented graphics, aiming to maintain the product’s competitiveness in a segment increasingly sensitive to design and the perception of sophistication.

Yamaha Fluo 2027 bets on a renewed look and connectivity

By prioritizing changes in the finish, Yamaha chooses to preserve the already known base of the Fluo while adapting the visual identity to engage with an audience that values aesthetic discretion, clean lines, and a more refined appearance in daily-use vehicles.
Additionally, features that help sustain the model’s positioning remain, such as LED lighting, a proximity key, and connectivity with mobile devices, items that have been gaining increasing relevance in the compact scooter segment.
Within this package, the Y-Connect system stands out, allowing the user to monitor scooter information directly through their smartphone, enhancing the integration between vehicle and rider and adding convenience to daily use.
Thus, the manufacturer’s strategy becomes evident by maintaining a competitive technological set without deeply altering the product’s structure, betting on gradual evolution as a way to maintain the Fluo’s commercial relevance in the national market.
125 cc engine with lightweight hybrid system remains a differential
In the powertrain, the 125 cm³ single-cylinder engine remains, equipped with a single overhead camshaft, air cooling, and automatic CVT transmission, a configuration already established for scooters aimed at urban use.
The delivery of 8.3 hp of power and 1.0 kgf.m of torque reinforces the focus on efficiency and economy, maintaining adequate performance for urban commuting without the intention of catering to sports or higher road demands.

As a technical differential, the Power Assist system remains, which provides electric support at specific moments, such as light starts and accelerations, improving the response of the set and making driving smoother in heavy traffic situations.
This is classified as a lightweight hybrid solution, as it does not turn the model into an electric or plug-in vehicle, but helps reduce the effort of the combustion engine and optimize dynamic behavior at low speeds.
Complementing this set, the model also uses the intelligent Stop & Start system, which turns off the engine at stops and automatically reactivates it when the throttle is twisted, a feature designed to reduce consumption and emissions in urban environments.
Urban scooter equipment reinforces practicality in daily life
Thinking about everyday use, Yamaha has maintained practical solutions that make a difference in the rider’s routine, including 25 liters of storage space under the seat, sufficient capacity to accommodate a full-face helmet and other frequently used items.
Additionally, the model features a front storage compartment, a hook for bags, and front access to the fuel tank, elements that facilitate simple daily tasks and reinforce the functional proposal of the scooter in the urban environment.
Regarding dimensions, the Fluo remains compact, with 1,875 mm in length, 690 mm in width, and 1,115 mm in height, in addition to a wheelbase of 1,280 mm, characteristics that favor mobility in tight spaces.

The seat height of 780 mm contributes to greater accessibility for different rider profiles, while the weight of 104 kg in running order aids in light handling and low-speed maneuvers.
The tank with a capacity of 4.2 liters reinforces the focus on urban commuting, aligning adequate autonomy with the economy proposal that marks the model’s identity.
ABS brakes and 12-inch wheels remain in the 2027 line
Without structural changes, the cycling of the Fluo 2027 maintains the previous configuration, with a front suspension of telescopic fork with 90 mm of travel and a rear with 88 mm, ensuring comfort within the model’s proposal.
The 12-inch wheels, combined with 100/90 tires in the front and 110/90 in the rear, contribute to stability and control, with the latter being noted as one of the widest in the category.
In the braking system, the scooter uses a 200 mm disc with ABS in the front and a 130 mm drum brake in the rear, a configuration that maintains the balance between cost and safety within the segment.
Although it does not represent a significant technical evolution, the presence of front ABS continues to be a relevant differential compared to competitors that still adopt simpler solutions.
Price of the Yamaha Fluo 2027 and warranty package in Brazil
With a suggested retail price of R$ 16,790, excluding freight, Yamaha positions the Fluo 2027 as a competitive option within the category, especially considering the level of embedded technology and the offered features.
Along with the price, the brand maintains four years of warranty and the Fixed Price Review program, a strategy that aims to reduce cost unpredictability over time and increase attractiveness for the consumer.
In this scenario, the scooter begins to compete in a segment where connectivity, practicality, and energy efficiency are increasingly important in the purchasing decision.
Without promoting deep changes, Yamaha chooses to preserve the mechanical base and reinforce the attributes that have differentiated the Fluo since its launch, such as electric assistance, urban focus, and a set of above-average equipment in the category.
