R$ 200 Million Package from BDMG Solidário Offers Emergency Credit to Companies and Municipalities in Public Disaster After the Rains in Minas.
The Government of Minas Gerais announced, on Saturday (28), the release of R$ 200 million in emergency credit for companies and municipalities affected by the Rains in Minas, in municipalities with a Public Disaster decree.
The measure will be operated by the Development Bank of Minas Gerais (BDMG) and includes subsidized financing with special conditions for micro, small, medium, and large companies, as well as cooperatives and agribusiness ventures.
The objective is to ensure the reconstruction of cities, preserve jobs, and accelerate the economic recovery in regions affected by this year’s storms.

The package also includes municipal administrations, which will be able to access resources with extended deadlines and increased grace periods.
According to Vice Governor Mateus Simões, the financial assistance is already available on the bank’s website.
The initiative is part of the BDMG Solidário program, created to provide rapid responses to emergency situations.
Emergency Credit to Face the Impacts of the Rains in Minas
With the damages caused by the Rains in Minas, the state government decided to prioritize actions that offer immediate liquidity to entrepreneurs and public managers.
Thus, the emergency credit emerges as an alternative to replenish stocks, repair damaged structures, and keep essential services running.
“For entrepreneurs and municipalities, the assistance is also coming in the form of subsidized loans. This is a way for the affected to resort to extraordinary resources at this time.
Information is already available on the bank’s website,” informed the vice governor.
In addition, Governor Romeu Zema highlighted the strategic role of the measure in the recovery of cities.
“The state is doing everything within its power to restore normalcy in the municipalities affected by the rains.
This measure is another fundamental support to ensure the reconstruction of these cities and the recovery of the population’s sources of income,” he emphasized.
BDMG Solidário Offers Subsidized Financing to Companies
Under the BDMG Solidário umbrella, the conditions vary according to the size of the business.
For micro and small companies located in municipalities with a Public Disaster decree, the rate will be fixed at 0.9% per month, with a term of up to 36 months for repayment and a six-month grace period.
The hiring process is 100% digital, which facilitates access to emergency credit.
The funds can be used as working capital — a term that means resources to cover the company’s basic expenses, such as payment to suppliers and employees.
The bank’s president, Gabriel Viégas Neto, emphasized the importance of the program.
“The credit can be used according to demands, such as renovating the store, restocking, or strengthening cash flow at this delicate moment, and for municipalities to quickly carry out emergency works,” he says.
Municipalities Will Have Up to 120 Months to Repay
Municipalities will also be able to contract subsidized financing through the BDMG Solidário Municipalities 2026 line.
The rate will be 0.28% per month plus the Selic rate, with a repayment term of up to 120 months and a 12-month grace period.
One of the differentiators is the immediate release of up to 95% of the contracted amount.
Thus, municipalities can quickly start drainage, slope stabilization, paving, and reconstruction of schools and health units.
In addition, the resources can be applied in sanitation, urban mobility, and affordable housing projects.
Therefore, emergency credit not only covers immediate damages but also contributes to strengthening the infrastructure of cities.
Medium and Large Companies Will Also Have Emergency Credit
Medium and large companies, including cooperatives and agribusiness ventures, will also have access to emergency credit.
In this case, the terms can reach up to 90 months for repayment, with a grace period of up to 36 months.
However, there is a specific requirement: the municipality where the company is based must have a federal Public Disaster decree.
This condition ensures that the resource is directed to the areas most affected by the Rains in Minas.
Reconstruction and Job Preservation
Thus, by expanding access to BDMG Solidário, the state government bets on maintaining economic activity.
After all, when companies remain open, jobs are preserved and municipal revenue is maintained.
In a scenario of structural and financial losses, subsidized financing represents a lifeline to get through the most critical period.
Thus, emergency credit consolidates as a central tool in the recovery strategy after the Rains in Minas.
