Considered the Best Honda SUV in the Automotive Industry: Used Honda HR-V Delivers Great Performance for Under R$ 80 Thousand, Being Spacious, Powerful, and Economical.

The second-generation Honda HR-V was launched in the national market in 2015 and became an immediate success for uniting versatility, reliable mechanics, and the good reputation of the Japanese brand in a compact SUV body, becoming the Honda SUV that most positively impacted the automotive industry. Check out all the details of the used Honda HR-V in 2024!

Used Honda HR-V Delivers 140 hp of Power

There was no way the recipe developed by Honda would not succeed in the automotive industry, considering that the modern and sporty look of the HR-V cleverly disguises the project developed from the Fit platform to optimize production costs and result in a car with generous internal dimensions, aided by the 437-liter trunk and the Magic Seat system, which allows the rear seat to be folded in different positions to expand cabin space.

The 1.8 flex aspirated engine producing 140 hp and 17.4 kgfm of torque that last equipped the ninth-generation Civic, combined with the CVT automatic transmission that simulates seven gears, is common to all versions of Honda’s SUV. The exception is the Honda HR-V LX, which was sold with a six-speed manual transmission for several years.

In 2019, Honda’s SUV began being sold in the automotive industry with a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine producing 173 horsepower and 22.4 kgfm in the new top-of-the-line Touring version to be more competitive against the new turbocharged competitors that were starting to arrive in the market. Due to the exhaust system, specific to the Honda HR-V engine, the trunk capacity is reduced to 393 liters.

Performance of the Used Honda HR-V Impresses Today

The Honda HR-V 1.8 flex goes from 0 to 100 km/h in about 11 seconds, while the average consumption declared by Inmetro is 7.1/10.5 km/l in the city and 8.5/12.1 km/l on the highway (ethanol/gasoline). The HR-V Touring 1.5 turbo, on the other hand, takes 8.9 seconds to reach 100 km/h. The averages are 11 km/l in urban driving and 13 km/l on the highway.

The equipment list of the used Honda HR-V includes standard front airbags, stability and traction controls, power steering, and air conditioning, among other items, starting from the LX version, which featured a set of steel wheels with 17-inch hubcaps.

In the intermediate EX version, Honda’s SUV was enhanced with a radio system with a touchscreen, cruise control, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and 17-inch alloy wheels. Side and curtain airbags, leather seats, digital air conditioning, parking sensors, and a multimedia center with GPS were exclusive to the used Honda SUV in the EXL configuration.

What to Notice When Buying a Used Honda HR-V?

Although it is a great Honda SUV in the automotive industry, like any car, it has some flaws. Persistent noises and clunky sounds are the problems that most annoy Honda SUV owners. One complaint states that they could not even converse inside the SUV due to the noise.

Some Honda HR-V owners have had issues with their vehicles’ suspension. One complaint reported seeking assistance due to a noise in the bottom of the car and being informed that they would need to replace the suspension bushings with only 30,000 km.

The use of the infotainment system is another target of complaints about the used Honda HR-V. There are reports of music playback failures, lack of updates, and connection problems with other devices. Some owners report frequent problems in their cars.
