The State Government Decrees the New Minimum Wage of R$ 1,927 for 2024, Ensuring a Victory for CLT Workers in Paraná.

The state government of Paraná has finalized and officially established a new minimum wage of R$ 1,927, which will take effect starting in 2024. This change represents a significant advancement for CLT workers in the state, especially for those who rely on this adjustment to support their families. With one of the highest regional minimum wages in Brazil, Paraná stands out by valuing its workforce significantly.

On February 5 of this year, the governor of Paraná, Carlos Massa Ratinho Júnior, signed the decree establishing the new values of the Regional Minimum Wage of the state. As a result, the minimum wage is now R$ 1,927, having a direct impact on the lives of thousands of CLT workers. The decree, signed after the analysis and recommendation of the State Council of Labor, Employment and Income (Ceter), is already in effect, with the new value being retroactive to January 1, 2024.

Details of the Minimum Wage Adjustment

The 6% adjustment, compared to previous values that ranged from R$ 1,749.02 to R$ 2,017.02, places Paraná at the top of the ranking of states with the highest regional minimum wage. “Paraná has the highest minimum wage in Brazil, which demonstrates our recognition and appreciation for the workers of Paraná,” stated Ratinho Junior at a press conference. The list of CLT workers in the state is already celebrating this achievement, which directly reflects on purchasing power and quality of life.

List of Categories of CLT Workers Who Receive the Benefit

The new minimum wage covers four major groups of workers, with variations ranging from R$ 1,856.94 to R$ 2,134.88, depending on the professional category:

Group I: Includes agricultural, forestry, and fishing workers, who will now have a minimum wage of R$ 1,856.94.

Group II: Includes workers in administrative services, domestic workers, salespeople in commerce, and repair and maintenance workers, who will now receive R$ 1,927.02.

Group III: Comprises workers in the production of goods and industrial services, who now receive R$ 1,989.86.

Group IV: Mid-level technicians, who will now receive R$ 2,134.88.

Calculation of the Minimum Wage

The calculation of the regional minimum wage takes into account inflation measured by the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) and the positive variation of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) from two years ago. This methodology ensures that the salary keeps pace with economic changes, providing an adjustment that, in 2024, will directly benefit the list of CLT workers in Paraná.

Change in Minimum Wage is Viewed Positively

This change in the minimum wage is seen as one of the main victories for CLT workers in the state, strengthening purchasing power and ensuring greater economic stability for Paraná families. The initiative, which was one of President Lula’s campaign promises, aims to reverse the wage stagnation observed in previous years, when the minimum wage adjustment was made solely based on inflation.

With the implementation of the new minimum wage of R$ 1,927, CLT workers in Paraná have plenty of reasons to celebrate. This measure not only values labor, but also reinforces the state government’s commitment to ensuring better living conditions for the population. Stay tuned for upcoming updates about the impact of this adjustment on the job market and on the state’s economy.

But now we want to know your opinion! Do you think this new value will really have a positive impact on the daily lives of workers? How can this adjustment influence your life or the lives of those close to you?

Meu Deus…
