Ducati is developing a new sports model with a V-twin engine. This is what leaked documents from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) state, where the model has been registered. So far, the new Ducati motorcycle is known as Project 2102 and its registration code makes it clear what is set to hit the streets soon: ZDMHAU8T?SBT.
According to the check digits, the affordable Ducati motorcycle is a street sports bike, which is translated by the H in the code, a brand new product that can be identified by the letter U, with a new or updated engine, indicated by the number 8, with power around 111 hp and 122 hp, symbolized by the letter T, to be launched in 2025 (S) and which could be manufactured both in Bologna, Italy, and in Thailand, indicated by the letters B and T.

Therefore, it is clear that the brand is not only working on a new motorcycle, but especially on an affordable model. This launch is expected to replace the Panigale V2, one of the motorcycles that has already been confirmed to be discontinued, along with the SuperSport 950, which is no longer being sold in Brazil.
When Will the New Sports Motorcycle from Ducati Arrive?
Analyzing the documents, the expectation is that the new Ducati motorcycle will be equipped with the same 937cc Testastretta engine already seen in options like the Multistrada V2, Desert X, and Hypermotard 950, in addition to the SuperSport itself. However, it should be updated to deliver a more aggressive performance, compatible with the name Panigale.
So far, there is still no official information about the new Ducati motorcycle. However, according to the leaked documents, the affordable Ducati motorcycle should hit the stores sometime next year.
If the Italian brand is working on this project and about to launch it, the official presentation should take place at the end of this year, at a major event such as the Milan Motorcycle Show – Eicma, for example. In Brazil, the only faired motorcycle from the brand currently on sale is the Panigale V4 S, from the 2023 model year, with a suggested price of R$ 166.990.
The Ducati Launch Premieres in Brazil in October
In addition to the affordable sports motorcycle from Ducati coming soon, the Scrambler is one of the most fun motorcycles in the world. However, in Brazil, the Scrambler has never received much attention from the brand or enthusiasts, who are always more inclined towards sports bikes and big trails. It’s a shame because the smallest Ducati is a great option for fun riding and also for daily use.
Despite this discreet presence, the Scrambler has never left the scene here. And the 2024 line is confirmed to arrive in October. The price has not yet been disclosed, but it is expected to be a little above R$ 60 thousand.
The model features aesthetic updates with a new external X-shaped headlight and a rear light now equipped with LEDs, making the lighting full-LED. In terms of mechanical and functional aspects, the rear subframe has become a separate piece from the main frame, the rear shock has been repositioned, and the steering angle has been increased, which adds even more agility to the motorcycle.
