It Will Provide Piping Solutions for the Comperj Works, Paving the Way for New Opportunities from This Project
The return of the Comperj Works is already showing positive reflections for the supply chain, especially in Rio de Janeiro. Starting with EBSE Engineering, which secured a contract to supply spools (welded connection pipes) that will be sourced from its factory in the capital. It is also competing with other multinational companies to provide emergency pipes starting from 12 inches, and to be honest, it is quite competitive, and all indications are that it will also win this contract.
Expectations
With everything moving in favor of the economy, not only in the oil and gas sector but in other areas, EBSE is interested in expanding its service portfolio. Nowadays, it supplies piping for a water supply project in Rio de Janeiro and intends to be part of the Navy’s corvette works. For this purpose, it has formed a kind of consortium with a company from Russia.

The KM Consortium (Kerui Method) will need many materials and equipment, most of which will be brought from China. However, many of these work inputs will need to be manufactured at the Comperj construction site and/or nearby factories.
In terms of expertise, logistics, and cost, EBSE managed to perform well in this bidding process, although buying from China would be much cheaper these days, exacerbated by the high dollar exchange rate. There is also a Flare project won by a company from Minas Gerais, and EBSE is in contact to supply the pressure vessels for it.
