According to experts, everything he does – from SpaceX rockets to Tesla electric cars – has a single purpose: to take humanity to Mars. But to get there, he has no problem at all disrupting whatever is necessary.
Elon Musk: A Disruptor By Nature
If there’s one word that defines Musk, it’s disruptive. From the beginning of his career, he has not only entered huge markets but has also turned everything upside down.

Dr. Matt Mokhefi-Ashton, an expert in international politics, claims that everything Musk does revolves around this goal. Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink… are pieces of a puzzle that ultimately has Martian colonization as the final prize.

Musk does not hide this. He has stated multiple times that he wants to see humans living on Mars during his lifetime. The question is: how far is he willing to go to make this happen?
The Role Of The U.S. Government In Musk’s Strategy
And here comes an interesting point. Although Musk likes to play the “lone wolf”, he knows how to play the game of political influence very well. The U.S. government, even if indirectly, has been helping fund his space ambitions.
NASA has already signed various contracts with SpaceX, ensuring that Musk’s company became one of the main players in the industry. In other words, intentionally or not, the American government is helping pave the way for him to reach Mars.
But will this support continue? And if Musk starts causing too much trouble, will politicians simply let him continue with his plan?
Destabilization As A Means To An End
Musk does not like rules, that has become quite clear. And, apparently, he also has no problem destabilizing systems to get what he wants.
The acquisition of Twitter was a great example. He came in, fired everyone, cut costs, and turned the social network into a real battleground. For some, it was a necessary blow to “clean” the platform. For others, it was complete chaos, weakening Twitter and opening the door for misinformation.
This repeats across various fronts. Whether provoking governments, questioning institutions, or confronting regulators, Musk positions himself as the guy who’s there to break the structures. And, from the looks of it, he enjoys that role.
The Controversial Relationship With USAID
But not everything goes as he plans. Recently, his actions started to directly affect important projects – and this could come at a high cost.
USAID (The U.S. Agency for International Development), which funds aid programs in poor countries, could face severe cuts. And this includes PEPFAR, a program that saves millions of lives in the fight against AIDS, particularly in South Africa.
If this assistance is cut, the impact could be disastrous. Thousands of people could lose access to treatment, and experts are already warning that this could cause a new public health crisis.
