BP Announced That It Aims to Multiply Its Investments in Renewables by Tenfold by 2030. The Company, in Partnership with Equinor, Will Invest in Wind Projects in the USA
BP, a multinational oil and energy company, will invest €1.1 million, in partnership with Equinor, a Norwegian company, to start its wind projects in the United States. BP’s intention is for the projects to be similar to those already existing in New York and Massachusetts.

Bernard Looney, CEO of BP, spoke about the company’s partnership with Equinor, saying, “This is an important first step in our strategy and in the future transition to becoming an integrated energy company.”
In a statement, BP says it aims to meet the goals of the renewable energy sector. The company also states that it will transition from being an oil company to being part of the energy sector. The group had previously announced that by 2030 it will “multiply by ten” its investments in renewable energy due to carbon emissions. The company’s annual investment will average around $5 million.
