Embraer Signed a US$ 7 Billion Contract with Flexjet to Supply 182 Executive Jets, Including Praetor 600, Praetor 500, and Phenom 300E Models. This is the Largest Order in Embraer’s Executive Aviation History, Strengthening Its Prominent Position in the Global Market and Expanding Its Production Capacity to Meet Growing Demand.

Embraer, a renowned Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, has reached a significant milestone in its trajectory by signing a contract worth approximately US$ 7 billion with Flexjet, a U.S. company specializing in shared ownership of executive jets.

This agreement, announced on February 5, 2025, represents the largest order ever recorded in Embraer’s executive aviation history.

Details of the Agreement

The contract encompasses the delivery of 182 aircraft, including the Praetor 600, Praetor 500, and Phenom 300E models, as well as options for an additional 30 units.

In addition to the aircraft, the agreement includes a comprehensive package of services and support to ensure the operational excellence of Flexjet’s fleet.

This order not only reinforces the two-decade partnership between the companies but also highlights Flexjet’s continued trust in the quality and performance of Embraer’s executive jets.

Impact on the Market and Embraer’s Stocks

The news of this monumental agreement had immediate repercussions in the financial market. Embraer’s shares rose by 15.5% on the day of the announcement, reaching a new historical record of R$ 66.37.

In the United States, the company’s American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) increased by 14.8%, closing at US$ 45.76.

This performance underscores investors’ confidence in Embraer’s strategy and growth potential in the executive aviation segment.

Expansion of Production Capacity

To meet the growing demand and honor the commitments made, Embraer is expanding its production lines in Gavião Peixoto, in the interior of São Paulo, and in Melbourne, Florida.

This expansion aims not only to fulfill the agreement with Flexjet but also to accommodate previous orders, such as those from NetJets, totaling over 400 aircraft ordered.

These orders represent three to four years of production, consolidating Embraer’s position as a leader in the executive jet market.

Long-Term Partnership Between Embraer and Flexjet

The relationship between Embraer and Flexjet dates back to 2003, when Flight Options, which later merged into the Flexjet group in 2015, became the first shared ownership company to incorporate the Legacy Executive jet into its fleet.

Since then, Flexjet has received over 150 aircraft from Embraer, including significant milestones such as the delivery of the 100th Phenom 300 in 2012 and the 1,000th executive jet from Embraer, a Legacy 500, in 2016.

This new agreement reinforces and expands this strategic collaboration, reflecting the mutual satisfaction and trust between the two companies.

Highlights of the Ordered Models

  • Praetor 600: Known for its intercontinental range and advanced technology, it offers passengers a superior flight experience with comfort and efficiency.
  • Praetor 500: Notable for its performance on transcontinental routes, combining speed, range, and a spacious cabin, ideal for business and leisure travel.
  • Phenom 300E: Recognized as the best-selling light jet for several consecutive years, it offers an unparalleled combination of speed, range, and comfort in its category.

Future Prospects

With this historic agreement, Embraer strengthens its position in the global executive aviation market. The expansion of production capacity and the confidence shown by long-time partners like Flexjet indicate a promising future for the company.

Furthermore, the growing demand for high-performance executive jets underscores Embraer’s relevance in providing solutions that meet the needs of an ever-evolving market.

Innovation

Embraer continues to demonstrate its ability to innovate and lead in the competitive executive aviation market.

This record agreement with Flexjet not only celebrates a solid partnership but also sets new standards of excellence and commitment in the industry.

As the company moves forward, it is expected to continue to surprise the market with high-quality products and strategic partnerships that drive growth and innovation.
