Chinese Company Transforms Annual Party Into Million-Dollar Distribution and Delivers Almost 70% Of Profit To Employees

Forget the traditional year-end baskets and personalized press kits. In China, a president decided to elevate the concept of corporate bonus to another level. In a scene that quickly went viral on social media, Cui Peijun dumped 180 million yuan — about US$ 26 million — in cash on the tables of the company’s annual event and allowed employees to take whatever they could carry with their own hands.

The decision surprised even the employees of Henan Kuangshan Crane Co., Ltd. Instead of distributing appliances, jewelry, or promotional gifts, the executive canceled the planned gifts and ordered the finance department to increase the amount delivered. As a result, he added an extra 20,000 yuan for each employee — approximately 15,000 reais.

According to data released by the Chinese press, the company’s estimated profit in 2025 was 270 million yuan. Therefore, by distributing 180 million yuan to employees, the company allocated almost 70% of the profit directly to the team.

Event Gathered 7,000 Employees And Distributed Over 60 Million Yuan In Cash

The party took place on February 13, just days before the start of the Chinese New Year, celebrated on February 17. The event gathered about 7,000 employees spread across 800 banquet tables. However, what caught attention was not the fancy menu, but the piles of cash scattered across the hall.

Over 60 million yuan was distributed in cash during the in-person event alone. Additionally, extra amounts were paid online, bringing the total to 180 million yuan — equivalent to approximately 135,507,582 reais.

On stage, which resembled a long table covered in cash, employees came up one by one to grab as much as they could carry. Consequently, impressive scenes emerged of workers literally struggling against the weight of bulky bundles of cash.

The videos quickly circulated on Chinese social media. As a result, the scene went viral and generated thousands of comments. Internet users nicknamed Cui Peijun “the boss who loves to distribute money the most.”

Generous Policy Had Already Distributed 170 Million Yuan The Previous Year

Founded in 2002, Henan Kuangshan Crane Co., Ltd specializes in manufacturing and maintaining cranes and material handling equipment. Furthermore, the company operates in over 130 countries, consolidating its international presence.

However, this generous policy did not start now. In 2024, the company reported a net profit of 260 million yuan and distributed 170 million yuan to employees. In other words, the practice of sharing results had already been part of the corporate culture.

Additionally, on International Women’s Day last year, the company granted nearly 1.6 million yuan to 2,000 female employees. Thus, the recent gesture was not isolated but rather a continuation of a professional appreciation strategy.

According to the president himself, many young employees face challenges with their personal budgets. Therefore, he believes that any financial relief makes a concrete difference in their daily lives. When commenting on the nickname received online, Cui downplayed the gesture and emphasized that the company’s priority is to recognize collective effort.

Consequently, the strategy also strengthens internal engagement and generates spontaneous global repercussions. After all, few advertising campaigns achieve such organic visibility as a mountain of cash being distributed publicly.

In light of this, the attitude raises a relevant debate: can profit-sharing programs be more effective than traditional bonuses? In the case of Henan Kuangshan Crane Co., Ltd, the numbers indicate that direct appreciation of employees has become a central part of the business strategy.
