App drivers in São Paulo have a new opportunity to earn more. By registering specific vehicles and completing 100 rides, drivers can earn up to R$ 2 thousand in subsidies and enjoy exclusive benefits, such as exemption from rotation and reduced IPVA.
If you are a app driver and are looking for ways to increase your earnings, a recent announcement may be exactly what you needed. Imagine receiving a significant subsidy simply for using a specific vehicle to work.
This opportunity may seem too good to be true, but it is exactly what 99, in partnership with BYD, is offering to drivers in São Paulo.
The proposal is simple: drivers who register a BYD vehicle on the 99 platform and complete 100 rides per month will be rewarded with a subsidy of R$ 2 thousand, distributed in four credits of R$ 500.
-
Larger than entire cities in Brazil: BYD is building a 4.6 km² complex in Bahia with a capacity for 600,000 vehicles per year, but the discovery of 163 workers in conditions analogous to slavery has shaken the entire project.
-
With an investment of R$ 612 million, a capacity to process 1.2 million liters of milk per day, Piracanjuba inaugurates a mega cheese factory that increases national production, reduces dependence on imports, and repositions Brazil on the global dairy map.
-
Brazilian city gains industrial hub for 85 companies that is equivalent to 55 football fields.
-
Peugeot and Citroën factory in Argentina cuts production by half and opens a layoff program for more than 2,000 employees after Brazil drastically reduced purchases of Argentine vehicles.
But what makes this offer even more attractive is that it comes with several additional advantages that can make daily work much more profitable and efficient.
Exclusive Benefits for 99 Partner Drivers
According to information released by the company, this offer is available exclusively for drivers in São Paulo and aims to facilitate the acquisition of BYD vehicles, especially the Dolphin GS 2025, Dolphin Mini 2025, Dolphin Plus 2025, and King 2025.
The promotion is valid until August 31, which means drivers have a limited time to take advantage of these special conditions.
In addition to the financial subsidy, the partnership offers a number of other benefits. Drivers who join the offer will enjoy a reduced service fee of 10% during the first six months, a significant advantage in a market where every cent makes a difference.
Additionally, drivers will have priority for rides in certain neighborhoods and easier access to vehicle charging.
Additional Facilities for São Paulo Drivers
For drivers in São Paulo, the partnership brings even more advantages. BYD electric vehicles registered on 99 will have access to a discount on the IPVA portion allocated to the Municipality, as well as exemption from municipal rotation for electrified vehicles, as stipulated by Decree 58.584/18.
This means that, in addition to saving on fuel, drivers will also be able to save time and money by not having to worry about rotation restrictions.
The Goal of BYD in Brazil
According to Alexandre Baldy, Senior Vice President of BYD in Brazil and Head of Commercial and Marketing at BYD Auto, BYD’s entry into the Brazilian market has as one of its main goals to democratize access to electric cars.
“We came to Brazil with the goal of making electrified mobility accessible to all modes in which we can operate, and the partnership with 99 is an important step in that direction,” Baldy states.
The company is heavily investing in expanding its operations in the country, especially with app drivers, who represent a strategic market for the popularization of electric vehicles.
BYD Models and Acquisition Advantages
The city of São Paulo was chosen as the starting point for the partnership between 99 and the Brazilian Association of BYD Dealers (AssoBYD).
The “Classificados99” program offers special conditions for qualified drivers, who can acquire models such as the Dolphin GS 2025 for R$ 159,800, with a bonus of up to R$ 15,000, or the Dolphin Mini 2025 starting at R$ 115,800, with a bonus of up to R$ 9,000.
Other models such as the Dolphin Plus 2025 and King 2025 are also available with attractive bonuses, making the acquisition of these vehicles a viable option for many drivers.

Economic Impact for Drivers
Thiago Hipolito, Senior Director of Innovation at 99, emphasizes that since the creation of the Alliance with BYD, several offers have been developed exclusively for the partner driver community.
These offers include incentives for the acquisition and leasing of electric models, which, besides being environmentally friendly, can provide significant savings of up to 80% in maintenance costs.
This savings, combined with the subsidy offered, can represent a considerable increase in the earnings of drivers who choose to work with BYD vehicles.
The partnership between 99 and BYD not only offers an immediate financial opportunity for drivers but also paves the way for a transformation in how app transportation is conducted in Brazil.
As electric vehicles gain more and more space, drivers who embrace this change now will be ahead of this revolution, benefiting not only from the subsidy and tax advantages but also from reduced operational costs in the long run.
