With 2.6 megawatt-peak (MWp), the distributed generation plant project was built in the city of Piratuba, also in Santa Catarina and 427.5 km away from Florianópolis, and will offset the expenses of five emitters of the company.
All necessary procedures for the construction of the photovoltaic distributed generation plant began three years ago, in 2019. However, its installation in Santa Catarina is scheduled to occur by the beginning of March 2022.

According to Nexen, in order for the distributed generation plant in Santa Catarina to meet the expectation of generating 3,500 MWh per year, nearly six thousand 450-watt (W) Canadian brand modules and twenty 110-kilowatt (kW) Sungrow brand inverters were used. This amount of energy is sufficient to supply electricity to more than 18,500 households per year, with 200 kWh of consumption.
The photovoltaic distributed generation plant in Santa Catarina occupies an area of approximately 13,500 square meters. Overall, the investment made for the implementation of the plant in Santa Catarina was R$ 15 million.
South Ranks High In The National Solar Energy Ranking
