Completion Of The First Drilling Operation In Well 7-ATL-5H-RJS Of Enauta Marks Another Important Step For The Exploration Campaign Of The Atlanta Field

The oil company Enauta is increasingly investing in expanding its presence in the fuel exploration market in Brazil. In recent months, the Santos Basin region has been the main focus of the company regarding its production campaigns.

Now, it announced another important step taken in the current exploration project of the Atlanta Field. The company has completed the drilling of the first well in the area, named 7-ATL-5H-RJS.

The well will be interconnected to the Early Production System (SPA), linked to the FPSO Petrojarl I. It will be essential to ensure the future production capacity anticipated by Enauta.

After concluding the drilling, Enauta is now in the upper completion stage, equipping the well for production — which is expected to start in this quarter.

The well 7-ATL-5H-RJS will be the fourth to start production in the Atlanta Field, marking another advancement in the Santos Basin project.

Enauta Aims To Expand Oil And Natural Gas Production In The Atlanta Field With New Drilling

According to the oil company, the expectation after the completion of the drilling of well 7-ATL-5H-RJS is that production from the field will increase to over 20,000 barrels of oil per day.

In addition, it anticipates greater operational flexibility in oil and natural gas production in the Santos Basin, as well as additional redundancy to the well pumping system.

The drilling of this first well marks just one of the phases of the exploration campaign of the Atlanta Field to be conducted by Enauta.

The company will then proceed to drill two new wells in the region, which will be connected to the Definitive System of the Atlanta Field, with the FPSO Atlanta (formerly FPSO OSX-2).

Now, Enauta celebrates the drilling of well 7-ATL-5H-RJS and prepares for the next steps in the Atlanta Field campaign, in the Santos Basin.

Get To Know The Atlanta Field

The Atlanta Field is located in the northern area of the Santos Basin, in the former block BS-4, in water depths of 1,550 to about 120 km from the coast.

In 2018, Enauta began production through an Early Production System (SPA) — which comprises three wells connected to the FPSO Petrojarl I.

More than 20 million barrels have already been produced in the SPA, and after more than 3 years, the company conducted important technical studies for the implementation of the Definitive System (SD).
