Enauta’s Planned Suspension At FPSO Petrojarl I Will Ensure Preventive Maintenance For The Platform In The Atlanta Field Next Week

Enauta announced on Wednesday that the water cooling system of the FPSO Petrojarl I had entered preventive maintenance and that the interruption of the maintenance is expected to last until the beginning of next week.

The vessel installed in the Atlanta Field in the Santos Basin is the main producer of oil and natural gas offshore for the oil company in the region.

“The maintenance interruption is expected to last until the beginning of next week. This type of activity is part of the operational routine of floating production units, which typically operate with an efficiency (operational rate or uptime) close to 90%”, stated the company in a note.

It also highlighted that, in the last three months, the offshore FPSO platform has been producing with “excellent” uptime of 98%, thus ensuring good results in the Atlanta Field campaign.

“This maintenance is included in the FPSO operation plan, not affecting production estimates,” the oil company added.

Enauta also stated that it will keep the offshore oil and natural gas market updated on any changes in the maintenance schedule for Petrojarl I.

The FPSO vessel has the capacity to produce 30,000 barrels of oil per day and a storage capacity of 180,000. It remains one of the main assets in the oil company’s operations portfolio.

Enauta Started Drilling Operations For Three New Wells In The Atlanta Field At The End Of 2022, Aiming To Boost Offshore Fuel Production

At the end of 2022, Enauta launched a drilling campaign for three wells in the Atlanta Field. The first well is in the connection phase with the FPSO Petrojarl I, with production expected to begin in April this year.

With the addition of this new well, the production potential of the Atlanta Field will increase to over 20,000 barrels of oil per day.

“In addition, we will have operational redundancy in the pumping system, leading to greater production stability,” said the company.

Enauta is also working on implementing a larger FPSO platform in the Atlanta Field over the coming years.

The Full Development System — Atlanta FPSO — is being converted at Dubai Drydocks World, with the work including structural updates, renovations, and equipment upgrades.

According to the oil company, the forecast is for the vessel to have a production capacity of 50,000 BOPD, in addition to a storage capacity of 1,800,000 bb.

Thus, Enauta intends not only to invest its resources in the FPSO Petrojarl I but also to expand offshore exploration in the Atlanta Field over the coming years.
