Miner Equinox wants to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and asked Enel for help
Enel Green Power Brasil, a subsidiary of Enel, announced this week that it has supplied wind power to mining company Equinox Gold. The renewable energy company has entered into a power supply contract with the miner, which has operations around the world, to supply 17 GWh per year of renewable energy.
The contract provides that the energy will be generated from the Fontes dos Ventos II wind farm, located in the state of Rio Grande do Norte.
