The consortium formed by the oil companies acquired four onshore blocks (PAR-T-196, PAR-T-215, PAR-T-86 and PAR-T-99), all belonging to the Paraná Basin

The oil companies disbursed R$ 2,1 million for the acquisition of the four areas. No other company or consortium has bid for other blocks offered in the Paraná Basin.

In the second Permanent Offer Cycle, 14 areas of exploratory oil blocks are being offered in nine basins: Santos, Espírito Santo, Campos, Paraná, Amazonas, Recôncavo, Sergipe-Alagoas, Potiguar and Tucano.

A Agency National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels - ANP, is offering two sectors of areas with marginal accumulations of the Solimões and Recôncavo basins. In all, 63 companies are registered in the auction.

About Permanent Offer - ANP

In the Permanent Offer system, the ANP offers some specific types of areas. These are fields that have been returned or are in the process of being returned and exploratory blocks offered in previous tenders and not awarded.

New exploratory oil blocks under study at the agency are also part of the event. Only areas in the pre-salt, strategic or located on the Continental Shelf beyond 200 nautical miles are left out.

Bento Albuquerque, Minister of Mines and Energy, reinforced the federal government's intention to include pre-salt oil exploration areas in this type of event in the near future.
