The oil and gas service giant Oil States has secured another important agreement in the domestic market. It signed a contract with the state-owned Petrobras to provide maintenance services for its offshore operations in Brazil. The duration of the agreement is three years and marks a significant moment of expansion for the industrial company in the Brazilian oil and natural gas sector.

Wrapping up January 2023 on a high note, Oil States secured another significant agreement for its operations in the Brazilian oil and natural gas market.

The company entered into a contract with the state oil company Petrobras to provide its maintenance services for the firm.

This is another growth initiative in the Brazilian oil and gas sector at a time when fuel exploration projects are heating up in Brazil.

The new contract with Petrobras reinforces Oil States’ presence in the domestic market, as well as its high growth potential in the field.

The scope of activities also includes the supply of parts and components; storage and preservation of equipment; and lifting, drilling, and well safety tools, including BOPs, Catarina, Hook, Swivel, Mud Pump, Valves, among others.

The contract will have a duration of three years, during which Oil States will ensure its top maintenance services to enhance the quality of the state-owned company’s operations.

Petrobras will be able to incorporate the industrial company’s expertise into its fuel exploration projects to make them even more optimized.

The new contract with Petrobras for the provision of maintenance services for oil and gas operations marks a moment of expansion for Oil States in the domestic market.

The Service Base Manager of Oil States Brazil, Marcos Pontes, commented on the signing of the new agreement, highlighting its importance for the company.

“This achievement further consolidates Oil States Brazil’s ability to absorb other similar contracts with important players in the Oil & Gas & Energy segment,” he stated.

“Our technical capacity is proportional to the magnitude of the great challenge that awaits us. Focus on the client, resilience, safety, excellence, and attention to detail are our fundamental pillars for the success of this project,” concluded the executive.

Oil States Brazil has a 40,000 m² base in Macaé (RJ) to operate as a “One Stop Shop” and more than 200 qualified employees.

The new maintenance services contract with Petrobras ensures a good utilization of Oil States’ potential in the domestic market.
