MEC Selection Process 2026
Access to the master’s degree occurs in two stages: unified national exam and differentiated processes.
In the national exam, candidates face an objective assessment with 20 multiple-choice questions and one essay, all based on content in History and its teaching. The differentiated selection is reserved for indigenous and quilombola teachers, who undergo a memorial analysis and an oral interview.
There is also a quota system, with reserved vacancies for different profiles, following federal legislation. Those who are not covered by the quotas will automatically compete in the broad competition.
