According to information from MEC, registrations for the 2024/25 National Admission Exam (ENA) for ProfePT end on December 20, 2024.

There are 656 slots distributed among educational institutions across all regions of Brazil, with 50% reserved for employees of the Federal Network of Professional, Scientific, and Technological Education.

The program, recognized by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), combines in-person and distance classes, offering high-quality training focused on practice and innovation in teaching.

Objectives Of The Program

ProfePT’s mission is to provide training that meets the real demands of the educational sector in Brazil. According to information from MEC, the program focuses on three main objectives:

Meet The Demand For Continuing Education: Ideal for professionals who wish to update and deepen their knowledge in the educational field.
Develop Interdisciplinary Investigations: The program encourages applied research that integrates different areas of knowledge, enriching pedagogical processes.
Contribute To Socioeconomic And Cultural Development: The training offered aims to positively impact society through practical improvements in professional and technological education.

Research Lines

Candidates can choose between two research areas, which cover essential aspects of professional and technological education:

Educational Practices In Professional And Technological Education: Focuses on curricular development and innovative pedagogical methodologies.
Organization And Memories Of Pedagogical Spaces In Professional And Technological Education: Explores the management of educational spaces and the historical-cultural impact on teaching.

These research lines reinforce the program’s commitment to qualify educators and managers for the contemporary challenges of the sector.

Where Are The Slots?

The 656 available slots are distributed among dozens of institutions throughout Brazil. Options include CEFET-MG, Federal Institute of São Paulo (IFSP), Federal Institute of Pernambuco (IFPE), and many others.

According to the official notice, each institution will have a limited number of slots, such as 11 slots at IFES – Campus Vitória and at Federal Institute of Paraná (IFPR) – Campus Curitiba, or 7 slots at IFMG – Campus Ouro Branco and at Federal Institute of Maranhão (IFMA) – Campus São Luís Monte Castelo.

This broad reach allows professionals from various regions to access high-quality training.

Registrations And Fees

The registration deadline is December 20, 2024, and the process is exclusively online. Interested individuals must access the Registration System on the official program website.

The registration fee is R$ 160.00. After this step, candidates should prepare for the National Admission Exam (ENA), which will serve as a selection criterion.

Pensei que fosse para todos, mas 160 reais de taxa sem saber se vai ou não ser classificado para alguém pobre de baixa renda é complicado. A triagem de classes já começa aí.
