The Carlos Chagas Filho Foundation for Research Support of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Faperj) Proposed an Adjustment for Scholarships.
This includes the Scientific Initiation, Technological Initiation, Master’s, Doctorate, and Post-Doctorate Recently-PhD scholarships, including those from its Nota 10 Master’s and Doctorate Program. The adjustment will be applied in the March 2023 payroll for scholarship holders from Rio de Janeiro.
According to the president of Faperj, Jerson Lima Silva, this is an important way to value the scholarship holders from Rio de Janeiro who contribute to scientific and technological production in the state. “Scholarship holders are the engines of scientific and technological production, without their real valuation, it is not possible to produce knowledge and quality technological innovation,” he stated.
According to data from Faperj, about 9,500 scholarship holders will benefit from the adjustment in scholarship amounts. The Pre-Scientific Initiation scholarships will be paid at R$ 300; the Scientific Initiation (IC) and Technological Initiation (IT) scholarships will increase to R$ 700; Master’s scholarships will be R$ 2,100; Doctorate scholarships will be R$ 3,100; the Reverse Sandwich scholarship will be R$ 3,100; and the Nota 10 Program scholarships will be R$ 2,900 (Nota 10 Master’s) and R$ 4,100 (Nota 10 Doctorate).
